Privacy Policy

Pro Resume Maker is an Android application developed and maintained by Shubham Gautam, an independent developer based in India. The app helps users create professional, ATS-optimized resumes and export them as PDF files — completely free of charge.

Resume data you enter (stored only on your device):

• Your name, job title, email address, phone number, and location
• Work experience, education history, and skills
• Projects, languages, interests, and any other sections you choose to fill in
• Profile photo (stored locally on your device)

Automatically collected information:

• Basic app usage data through Google AdMob (for serving ads)
• Crash reports and error logs through standard Android mechanisms
• Device type, OS version, and general location (country-level only) — collected by AdMob for ad relevance

We do not collect your email address, create user accounts, or require you to log in to use the app.

We want to be explicit about this because we know it matters:

• We do not read or access the resume content you type into the app
• We do not upload your resume data to any server
• We do not sell your information to anyone, ever
• We do not track your location beyond what AdMob uses for ad targeting (country level)
• We do not require an account or email registration
• We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes

The only data we actually use is:

• Resume data — used only to generate your PDF resume, entirely on your device. Once the PDF is created, data stays on your phone.
• AdMob data — used by Google to display relevant ads within the app. This is how we keep the app free. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Crash data — used to fix bugs and improve the app's stability.

We don't use any of this to build profiles about you, target you with marketing, or share with data brokers.

Pro Resume Maker uses the following third-party services that have their own privacy practices:

• Google AdMob — displays ads to keep the app free. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Play Services — standard Android services for app distribution and updates.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their policies directly.

All your resume information is stored locally on your Android device using standard Android SharedPreferences storage. This means:

• Your data is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.)
• If you uninstall the app, all your resume data is permanently deleted
• If you use the "Clear All Data" option in the app, all data is wiped immediately
• We cannot access your data remotely — there's no backend server holding it

The generated PDF files are saved to your device storage or shared through your device's share sheet — this is fully under your control.

Pro Resume Maker is designed for adults and job seekers. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app, please contact us and we'll do whatever we can to help.

The app is rated for Everyone on Google Play and does not contain content inappropriate for any age group.

Because we don't store your data on our servers, most traditional data rights (access, deletion requests, etc.) are handled entirely by you through the app itself:

• Delete your data — use "Clear All Data" in the Profile section, or simply uninstall the app
• Edit your data — all resume content is editable at any time inside the app
• Ad preferences — you can opt out of personalized ads through your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization)

If we ever make meaningful changes to this privacy policy — like if we add new features that collect different types of data — we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.

We won't send you a notification for minor wording changes, but for anything that materially affects your privacy, we'll make it obvious. The current version of this policy is always at this URL.

Continuing to use the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
